Buckman Road Update

Quite a few members have requested information on the status of Buckman Road. Presently there is no specific plan that we are aware of to improve this road. The Division has written to the Highways Ministry for information regarding their plans for Buckman Road.

To those members that have expressed an interest in contact their MLA on this issue below you will find the contact information for both MLA Bill Bennett (Kootenay East) and MLA Norm MacDonald (Columbia River - Revelstoke). There is also a link to a sample form letter that you can use or modify to express your concern to these MLA's. Be sure to forwad a copy of any correspondence or communications you send to the Division so we are made aware of the level of concern being brought to their attention on this issue.

You could revise the letter by inserting your on name in the header and at the end and then attach to an email to the each of these MLA's, with a copy to the Union and the District Highways Manager as indicated at the bottom of the letters.
